Steps to Registration


Are you eligible for Priority Student Registration?

If you have attended credit classes at COCC in any of the past four terms, you are eligible for Priority Student Registration.   If you are not sure whether you qualify, logon to your Bobcat Web Account and look up your registration status on the "Can I Register for Credit Classes" page.  

Summer Term, 2012:  
Degree/Certificate-Seeking students - Registration begins on April 23, 7am or later, based on the registration schedule

Non-degree seeking students - Registration begins on May 14, 8am (see registration schedule).

FallTerm, 2012:
Degree/Certificate-Seeking students - Registration begins on May 21, 7am or later, based on the registration schedule.

Non-degree seeking students - Registration begins on September 5, 8am (see registration schedule).


Steps to Priority Student Registration:  

1.  Placement Testing
Students must have placement test or transfer credit information on file with the Admissions and Records Office (Boyle Education Center, Bend Campus) in order to register.  Note that if this requirement was waived the previous term, it cannot be waived again. 

2.  Advising
Summer Term
: Advising is not required
. However, it is recommended that certificate/degree students meet with their academic advisor if they have questions. 

Fall Term: Some certificate/degree-seeking students are required to meet with their academic advisor prior to Fall term registration.   Check the “Can I Register for Credit Classes” page on your Bobcat Web Account to see if advising is required.  Contact your advisor NOW to schedule an appointment.  If you wish to change advisors, contact the CAP Center at 541-383-7200 or the Admissions and Records Office at 541-383-7500.

Non certificate/ degree-seeking (NCDS) students are not required to meet with an academic advisor, but are welcome to do so. Note:  NCDS students are NOT ELIGIBLE FOR FINANCIAL AID.


3.  Registration

Steps 1 and 2, as applicable, must be completed prior to registering for classes.  Once complete, students may
register for Summer or Fall term (see online login and registration directions).  In-person registration is available in the Enrollment Services office in all COCC campuses during regular business hours.  For additional assistance, the web registration HelpLine, 541-330-4358, is available during regular business hours.

Online classes:  Successful completion of the Orientation for Online Classes at COCC mini-course is required before students can register for online classes.

Registration continues until 7:00 am of the morning of the first class session.  Summer term begins on June 25, 2012.  Fall term begins September 24, 2012.

Summer term tuition is due no later than 1pm, July 6, 2012.  Fall term tuition is due no late than 5pm, October 5, 2012.  See payment options.
